Co-chief scientists Jess Adkins and Dan Scheirer spend a lot of time marveling over, and rejoicing in, the quality of ABE maps, which help guide decisions about Alvin dives and other research. The two maps in Jess' hands use 10-meter contour lines, allowing for extremely precise navigation.
