BE's camera. ABE takes high-resolution digital images of the sea floor. Rather than just sticking a whole camera on the robot, ABE's engineers rig the optical device to ABE's central computer processors. When the camera is operating, it sends data to storage at a rate of 1.8 gigabytes per hour.
