Ordinary Seamen Raul Martinez and Kevin Threadgold help guide the Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth sensor, or CTD, to the ship’s deck. This device was dropped into the water from there, with the winch that had only been repaired two days ago. The crew brought the CTD back up later in the day.
