The southwest coastline of Fernandina Island. The red arrow is pointing to the lava flow erupted in 1995; the yellow arrow points to the lava erupted in 1982. The 1982 eruption came from vents located higher up on the volcano and dribbled down the slope towards the ocean. All of the skinny fingers of lava on the slope below the yellow arrow are 1982 lava.
