Geochemist Matt Jackson watches videotape of a recent Alvin dive. The same footage is on both screens because it is being duplicated. All Alvin video footage is duplicated for safekeeping. Scientists watch it to make "highlight" tapes of significant sections, and make notes that will help with future dives.
