At 7:45 a.m, Alvin is in the water with Alvin Pilot Bruce Strickrott and Co-Chief Scientists Jess Adkins and Dan Scheirer inside. Chief Pilot BLee Williams, in the wetsuit, and Able Seaman Patrick Hennessy cast off the final connection to RV Atlantis in preparation for the dive.
