The dredge comes on board RV Melville. We have dragged it over the lava flows on the East Pacific Rise crest eight times in the past few days to collect rocks. This dredge was actually “hung-up” or stuck on the seafloor for about an hour. We suspect that it got wedged into one of the cracks or fissures that we saw in the Argo II video. Thankfully, we were able to get it unstuck!
