Hans is concentrating on the analysis of the magnetometer data and making sure that he has made all the corrections to account for the fact that Alvin is a large metal object near the magnetometer. Even though the hull is made of Titanium, which is non-magnetic, there is still a lot of metal that has to be corrected for.
