Kris Ludwig is a graduate student in marine geology
and chemistry at the University of Washington in Seattle. She works primarily
at night, overseeing the use of an ocean instrument called a CTD, which
measures the ocean’s conductivity (used to determine salinity),
temperature, and depth.
