Jan. 15, 2008: Geologist Ko-ichi Nakamura and geochemist Susan Humphris collect samples of red-brown sediment that stuck to Jaguar's "skin" when it collided with the bottom. They will take these samples back to their shore-based labs for analysis to determine whether the sediments are deposited from hydrothermal activity.
